A Contemporary Example Of Philippians 1:18’s “So What!”: A Dusty King James Bible, Manufactured Border Crises, And Romans 13 Goes Viral

Sarah Watching Contemporary Example Philippians 1-18 So What

Sometimes it is difficult to imagine the underlying circumstances to adequately account for situations described in the Bible. One such example is found in Paul’s letter to the church at Philippi.

Paul writes from prison to his first European converts—whether imprisoned in Ephesus or Rome is a matter of scholarly debate—nonetheless, the highly effective missionary to the Gentiles is behind bars. Painting the perfect backdrop for his message, these circumstances drive home a key theological point of Philippians—hardship amid the progress of the Gospel.

Reading the following passage, I have often wondered, what exactly is going on. How is it that those who preach out of jealousy, rivalry and impure motives, suppose they can “stir up trouble for” Paul while he is “in chains” (Phil. 1:17, NIV)?

12 And I want you to know, my dear brothers and sisters, that everything that has happened to me here has helped to spread the Good News.
13 For everyone here, including the whole palace guard, knows that I am in chains because of Christ.
14 And because of my imprisonment, most of the believers here have gained confidence and boldly speak God’s message without fear.
15 It’s true that some are preaching out of jealousy and rivalry. But others preach about Christ with pure motives.
16 They preach because they love me, for they know I have been appointed to defend the Good News.
17 Those others do not have pure motives as they preach about Christ. They preach with selfish ambition, not sincerely, intending to make my chains more painful to me.
18 But that doesn’t matter. Whether their motives are false or genuine, the message about Christ is being preached either way, so I rejoice. And I will continue to rejoice.
Philippians 1:12-18

Obviously, wherever Paul is, he has supporters and detractors.

But if the detractors are opposed to the Gospel, why are they preaching it at all? Even if they are doing it out of jealously and rivalry, impure motives, or an intention to make Paul’s chains more painful, how is that accomplished by an insincere proclamation of the Gospel?

It seems this preaching would serve only to increase the number of people supportive of Paul(?). And supportive of his teachings. How exactly can Paul’s chains be made more painful by half-baked homilies delivered by these duplicitous detractors?

A Conflagration Of Separate, Yet Related News Stories

Recently a conflagration of separate, yet related, stories in the mainstream media news cycle have enabled an analogical grasp of the situation. In fact, it is an excellent example of Paul’s rhetorically skillful “So what?” (my translation) found in Philippians 1:18. Elsewhere “So what?” is rendered –

  • “But that doesn’t matter…” (NLT);
  • “What does it matter?” (NIV, NRS);
  • “What then?” (ESV, KJV, NAS, RSV).

What does it matter? What then? So what?

So What?

For all practical purposes, Paul is saying “Yes, these detractors are stirring up trouble for me—attempting to quote and exegete the Bible, proof texting Scripture. They even “preach” things actually found in the Bible, but pervert the application of truth, similar to Satan’s,contortion of God’s Word directed at Eve that apocalyptic day so long ago, but SO WHAT?”

And the follow-up to Paul’s great “So What?” –

The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice. (Phil. 1:18, NIV)

A One-Track Mind

One thing that must be understood about this educated and passionate preacher whose whole life changed with the simple question “Why?” is that the Apostle Paul had a one-track mind—the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all people. This formed his calling, his life, his highest loyalty—none of these he imparted to himself, but they were born in him on that fateful journey to Damascus. And they were nurtured to maturity by the Holy Spirit of God.

In fact, the central theme of Philippians’ asserts that the main goal and purpose for every Christian should be the progress of the Gospel, a goal in which believers will never be disappointed, more pointedly, will never be without joy—even amid hardship. After all God is in charge of advancing the Gospel, and working according to His will brings endless joy and rejoicing.

Like Jesus and the other apostles, Paul never claimed to be a social justice warrior. He did not speak out about political affairs, women, slaves, or the inhumane treatment of lawbreakers and/or those falsely accused—even though he had been falsely accused and brutally punished on many occasions.

The Apostle Paul did not want the Good News of Jesus Christ conflated with secondary issues and certainly not with agenda driven items such as identity politics. He understood that the pure teaching of the Gospel had potential to heal the ills of society—poverty, inequality, violence, corruption, etc.—which had been in existence since the beginning. He knew, and trusted, the higher ways and thoughts of God more than his voice or the voice of any activist group, especially paid activist groups

Devilish Detractors

Paul rejoiced with joy in proclaiming the Gospel! But these devilish detractors, though? How should these people be understood? What are their motivations, their driving force? How in the world could proclaiming the Gospel hurt Paul’s cause? The thinking seems contrary at every turn. But where there is contrariness, confusion, and chaos, a sinister saboteur is always prowling.

And wherever this prowling lurks, Christians have only to remember:

Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.1 John 4:4

Sarah Watching Mainstream Media Pukes Fake News
But where there is contrariness, confusion, and chaos, a sinister saboteur is always prowling.

Sometimes God uses situations intended for sinister purposes to purify His people, teach His Word, and/or demonstrate how manifestations of the fallen condition of humanity always stem from the same basic spiritual flaws—immorality, impurity, and greed..

In the chaos of the latest manufactured mainstream media crises, God used the misinformation campaign of far-left radical mainstream media types and politicians to school me on Paul’s situation in Philippians 1—inside and out.

Here’s how it all started…

A Dusty King James Bible

On Monday, June 18, 2018, while listening to the radio, a great fear of being struck by lightning overcame me. Hillary Clinton (the Whitewater cheating, White House furnishings stealing, uranium selling, pay for playing, Benghazi killing/lying, illegal email sending, evidence destroying, dossier buying, Bernie Sanders cheating, minority suppressing, extremely greedy, etc.—that Hillary Clinton) was quoting Holy Scripture.

Surprised that a lightning strike did not put her out of misery right then and there—and make no mistake, someone that sociopathic is miserable—it continued. Hillary Clinton? Quoting Scripture? The whole thought made me both furious and nauseous.

Sarah Watching Martin Luther On Scoffers In Jude 10
The pomposity and arrogance of this corrupt human being. As many times as she has insulted Christians, used them when convenient and/or trying to get their votes, called Christian beliefs “outdated,” and cried out “church and state” when conducive to her political corruption, for example the recent travel ban. Note to Hillary—non U.S. citizens are NOT protected by the United Status Constitution.

And if there is any doubt in the reader’s mind. This is the same Hillary Clinton, a prior Secretary of State, who repeatedly refused to do anything about the persecution of Middle Eastern Christians, while upholding Muslims as chaste victims of intolerance. Not to mention her participation in the multiple mainstream media cover-ups of Islamic terror in the United States as workplace violence, hate crimes, etc. Only to assuage the public’s disdain for allowing tens of thousands of unvetted refugees to enter the U.S. (“refugees” is another manufactured crisis). But oh my, a cross in a public park? What arcane bigotry!

Yes, that Hillary Clinton quoted from the Gospel of Matthew. Honestly, Satan has more credibility quoting Scripture than Crooked “Lock her up!” Hillary.

Hillary, along with all the liberal sycophants, recently, and quickly, jumped on the bandwagon to spread disinformation regarding illegal immigrants who try to cross the border illegally with children, as well as illegal immigrant children sent to the border with smugglers and human traffickers by their parents. (Redundant “illegal” and “illegally” used for those who tend to forget this is an issue about people breaking U.S. law, i.e. it is not legal to enter the U.S. on a whim or because a Soros-funded group said it would be okay.)

Since a large number of Christians compose Trump’s support base, Hillary intended the use of Scripture to both shame Christians and to justify her radical left, open borders ideology. She used the process of virtue signaling Christians as a vehicle to reach her primary goal—to stir up trouble for and degrade President Trump.

Here’s Rush Limbaugh discussing Hillary quoting the Bible in reference to the border crisis:

HILLARY: Those who selectively use the Bible to justify this cruelty are ignoring a central tenet of Christianity. I went to a lot of years of Sunday school. I even taught it from time to time.

RUSH: That’s a problem.

HILLARY: I’ve studied the Bible, both the old and the New Testament, and what is being done using the name of religion is contrary to everything I was ever taught. Jesus said, “Suffer the little children unto me.” He did not say, “Let the children suffer.”

RUSH: Nobody else is saying that, either — and Jeff Sessions says what’s biblical is enforcing the law, not separating families. This is all just crock. Anyway, Leslie, does that want to make you say any more about this?

CALLER: Well, it doesn’t make me want to say any more about that because I’ve already made up my mind it’s bunk…

Apparently, Hillary—being the epitome of a progressive and in-the-know female—still uses the King James Version Bible? Certainly the KJV is a fine translation, but it doesn’t suit Mrs. Clinton’s forward-thinking worldview. On top of that, she misquoted the verse. Ironically, in Scripture, it is Satan who misquotes Scripture.

Nonetheless, a more modern version would not have had the rhetorical flare needed to conjure up the desired tear-jerking reaction among those who lack wokeness.

For instance, the one in whose presence all glass ceilings are safe, said “Jesus said, ‘Suffer the little children unto me.’ He did not say, ‘Let the children suffer.’”

Using the same rhetorical flush, other versions would not have fit the agenda:

ESV: “Let the little children come to me.” He did not say “Let the children come.”  Nope that doesn’t work at all.

NAS: “Let the children alone come unto me” He did not say “Let the children come alone.” Oh no. That strikes the far-left radicals on two points. 1) that of allowing illegal parents to cross the border with no repercussions; and 2) parents sending their children on a 2,000 mile journey alone—without parents—with smugglers.

NRS: “Let the little children come to me.” He did not say “Little children, let them come.” Nope. On top of not working, “little” is specified. On the U.S. southern border, anyone eighteen and under qualifies as “little children” in liberal talking points.

Hillary probably cursed when she dusted off that King James Bible.

Hillary probably cursed when she dusted off that King James Bible.

Manufactured Border Crises

On the June 19th edition of Tucker Carlson Tonight, Tucker also had a word to say about Hillary’s piety. He argued quite convincingly that “The Left does not care about family separation.” That is unless the children are foreigners.

Plenty of American children are separated from their parents due to the horrible policies of the left, and legitimately when parents commit a crime (like not following U.S. laws). But Hillary and company do not care about American children.

In fact, Tucker pointed out the total hypocrisy of the left while also commenting on the theological pursuits of both Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi:

The spectacle of illegal immigrants separated from their children at the border has ceased to be a news story in any traditional sense. It is now an event, a kind of competition so that elites can vie for who can reach greater heights of rhetorical excess and self-righteous posturing. These performances are really…

Congress woman Nancy Pelosi and even Hillary Clinton took an early lead in the contest by bypassing public policy questions entirely and moving straight to theology.  Here are part of their sermons:

Pelosi – “the hypocrisy of all people of faith in our country not to clamor (…inaudible…) for this administration (…inaudible…) is doing to end (…inaudible…).”

Clinton – “For those who selectively use the bible to justify this cruelty are ignoring a central tenet of Christianity. Jesus said suffer the little children unto me, he did not say let the children suffer.”

So the same people who support third term post viability abortion for purposes of sex selection are now lecturing you about God, and sin and the holiness of children.

Feel chastened?

Liberals used to care about kids, or said they did anyway, but now they don’t. They’ve abandoned them. -Tucker Carolson

In another segment, Tucker said:

Liberals used to care about kids, or said they did anyway, but now they don’t.

They’ve abandoned them.

The left’s immigration policies of these children make it worse for American children. Their schools can’t cope with student bodies that don’t speak English. No matter how hard they try, they can’t. Jobs pay less because the left has imported a new serf class that will work for less than minimum wage. That helps them, but it will not help the poor. Nobody in Santa Monica cares at all. But the left still claims to care about kids.

For example, newly minted theologians Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi have been telling you that all week. Sometimes quoting the bible to make that point, but yet the curious factor is these are the very same people who tirelessly promote unrestricted late term abortion for any reason at all including sex selection – not an exaggeration, look it up.

And yet somehow they’re for children. Hmmm.

How exactly does that work?

At this point, the larger question remains: “What has happened to cause Hillary Clinton—the most ungodly, corrupt, and deceptive woman in politics and the entire world—to attempt to quote Scripture?” Did she get a prophetic notice on the second advent of Jesus? Similar to the advanced notice on cattle futures? When this nasty woman is involved, the answer is always “it’s a political, partisan disinformation campaign.”

“What has happened to cause Hillary Clinton—the most ungodly and deceptive women in politics and the entire world—to attempt to quote Scripture?”

And this is all the more irritating because the woman who cannot accept that she lost the 2016 Presidential election prefaced her misquote of the KJV by saying “…what is being done using the name of religion is contrary to everything I was ever taught…” Is she referring to Bible study or the endless hours she spent with Saul Alinsky? Her entire life is contrary to everything Christianity teaches.

The twice presidential loser’s reference to “using the name of religion” targeted a speech given by Jeff Sessions, the U.S. Attorney General, who follows the rule of law, and is quite possibly the AG with the toughest stance on immigration in the history of the U.S.

Sarah Watching Church Windows During Communist Reign In Ukraine
These are the windows of a church destroyed during the communist reign in Odessa, Ukraine. Communists are in America and they must NOT get power again. Barry Soetoro is a Communist, Bernie Sanders, the Clintons, all those who label themselves “progressive” and/or Democrat, buzzwords for Socialism and Communism. Excessive illegal immigration, i.e. open borders, is a Socialist/Communist policy. As a point of reference, not all “Democrats” have gone far left, but “moderates” who hold elected offices are few and far between. For instance, moderates Joe Manchin (WV Sen) and Doug Shoen may be the last surviving of “your Mamma’s Democrats.”

Romans 13 Goes Viral

So what raised the ire of liberals everwhere, causing leftist matriarchs to send their hispanic housekeepers scurrying to the attic (or Lifeway) to get the KJV?

As Breitbart’s Joel Pollak succinctly stated:

“The left is outraged that Attorney General Jeff Sessions would dare to cite the New Testament in support of the Trump administration’s policies of enforcing immigration laws at the country’s borders.”

While speaking about immigration to law enforcement officers in Fort Wayne, Indiana, America’s top law enforcement agent quoted the following from Romans 13:

“I would cite you to the Apostle Paul and his clear and wise command in Romans 13, to obey the laws of the government because God has ordained the government for his purposes. Orderly and lawful processes are good in themselves. Consistent and fair application of the law is in itself a good and moral thing, and that protects the weak and protects the lawful.”

Instead of emotional outbursts, Jeff Sessions is talking about the basic rule of law. Law that maintains order and protects the rights of all citizens. Sessions’ reference to Romans 13 is not the bible bashing, ill applied, fiasco the mainstream media is making it out to be.

Here’s the thing. Google “Romans 13 Sessions.” It will return literally thousands of pages of articles from the largest to the smallest news outlets talking about Romans 13(!). Such a flurry of discussion over a bible verse, much less a bible chapter, in the fake news media is unheard of.

The leftist media and politicians are discussing Romans 13, literally holding up the sanctity of the bible as opposed to the reprobate Attorney General’s “misapplication.” Because obviously Jeff Sessions is such a Hitler, white supremacist, who probably still has a white sheet in the closet next to a Nazi armband, a stack of Confederate dollars, and an old photo of the family cotton plantation—the liberal mainstream media wants to take him to task on his “incorrect use of Scripture.” (And they can’t even get the news right!)

Of course, the open borders radicals are interpreting and applying it incorrectly, but as Paul says in Philippians “SO WHAT?” “What then?” “What does it matter?”

The Word And Spirit Are Inseparable

The Word and Spirit cannot be separated. A quotation of God’s living and active Word, even if to denounce Jeff Sessions, sends the Holy Spirit out among the masses of American atheists found in mainstream media newsrooms, college campuses, and the short side of the aisle in Congress. And a fundamental activity of the Holy Spirit is His ability to convict unbelievers of sin, righteousness, and judgment—namely the truth of Jesus Christ.

Not only mainstream media outlets have unleashed on Sessions’ use of Romans 13 “to justify cruelty” (give me a break!). Late night TV hosts are also doing exegetical gymnastics with Romans 13, and certainly their writers must be helping with the task. Even some of the left-leaning Jewish websites are discussing New Testament teachings. The point is—they are reading the Word to the public and by default to themselves!

Some of the mainstream media types have even quoted Leviticus in support of illegal immigrants. Breitbart’s Joel Pollak writes:

Many have responded by citing the Old Testament injunction in Leviticus 19 to welcome the stranger. However, they are misinterpreting the verse. A more accurate interpretation of the passages in Leviticus actually supports the administration’s policy.

Leviticus 19:33-34 reads as follows (Chabad translation)

  1. When a stranger sojourns with you in your land, you shall not taunt him.
  2. The stranger who sojourns with you shall be as a native from among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt. I am the Lord, your God.

Pollak explains that the Hebrew word used for “stranger” is also the word used for “convert.”

“The implication is that the “stranger” who “sojourns with you” does not merely live among you, but also agrees to obey your God and your laws.

So, yes — the Bible commands us to “care for the stranger and the immigrant.” But the implication is that they will first agree to obey our laws.

That is the thrust of the Trump administration’s policy: to provide a path for those legal immigrants who agree to honor the laws of the United States, and to prosecute those whose first act is to defy them.”

The implication of Leviticus 19:33-34 is that the “stranger” who “sojourns with you” does not merely live among you, but also agrees to obey your God and your laws.

The article quoted above appeared on the front page of conservative news site www.Breitbart.com. Its author is Joel Pollak, senior editor-at-large. In 2017, Breitbart was listed as the top 13th website that people visit to get news—in the world(!). And this website had an article about Romans 13 and Leviticus 19 on its front page.

Media 180

Only recently, the leftist mainstream media and politicians have made the following headlines:

  • Joy Behar said Vice President Pence was “mentally ill” because of being a Christian
  • Liberal Outrage over SCOTUS’ ruling in the Masterpiece Cakeshop LLC case
  • Muslim Senator Cory Booker (whose religion is totally intolerant of LGBTQ) denounced Mike Pompeo because of his Christian beliefs (Sen. Booker is too narrow-minded to believe it is possible for Mike Pompeo as a Christian or any person of faith to show respect and dignity for every individual while also believing marriage should be between one man and one woman. On the other hand, Booker’s Muslim faith teaches that LGBTQs should be executed)
  • “Feminists” reject Pro-Life women
  • Sen. Tammy Baldin (WI) stated she would not support a federal district court nominee because he is Catholic.
  • Communist Bernie Sanders and Leftist Dianne Feinstein have both commented negatively on the Christian faith of Trump cabinet nominees.
  • And so, so, so many more…

Today, however, look at the media(!). Look at how Scripture is being proclaimed—

  • Romans 13
  • Leviticus 19
  • Even Matthew 19 by the queen of hades herself!

Even when it is proclaimed incorrectly or with bad motives, the Holy Spirit is more than able to make it efficacious for salvation!

Ar first, I confess being furious when I heard the arrogance and air of superiority with which the most unlikable and corrupt woman in the world quoted Scripture. And the Holy Spirit nudged me and said “Hey, remember that verse in Philippians 1 that you are always asking about? So what? The Word is going forth.”

So what? The Word is going forth.

Analogy Of Paul’s Detractors

The leftist mainstream media, Hillary, Nancy, all of them are quoting Scripture out of jealousy, rivalry, impure and false motives, selfish ambition, insincerity, with the fundamental intention to disgrace and stir up animosity toward Christians.

For several decades now, Christians have been ridiculed, insulted, and reviled by mainstream news organizations, television shows, movies, politicians, left-wing propaganda, and college campuses. So why now? Why now are the open borders snobs sneering at Christians so boldly and loudly? Why now are progressive atheists and agnostics interpreting Scripture for dumb American Christians? Why this all out assault on Christians and their Bible at the same time?

Sarah Watching Luke 6 22-23
Having haters is a Christlike quality.

Simply said because Christians make up a large majority of President Trump’s faithful (no pun intended) supporters. Trump received 81% of the evangelical vote in the 2016 Presidential election and the vote of many Catholic Christians. So the left has directed their anger over losing the election, among many things, towards Christians.

The Neo-Democrats, which aren’t really new but finally showing their true colors, have never liked Christians in the first place. They have done a fair job of keeping this fact quiet in order to maintain some of the vote. But with anger over losing the 2016 election at fever pitch, and some of that anger directed toward Christians who had the audacity to vote for Trump, it’s been a full onslaught.

In the viewpoint of the radical left, evangelical Christians are bad white supremacists. And their enormous turn-out at the 2016 polls? Horrendous! And Christians who voted for Donald Trump? Reprobates! Remember Hillary’s own words prior to the election—deplorable and irredeemable? Can you imagine the adjectives after the election?

Every leftist news channel, newspaper, magazine, and website has gone full throttle  expressing, and exposing, their vile hatred of Jesus followers. But why expose it now? Because of the much larger target of their intense hatred—President Donald Trump.

By shaming and disgracing Christians, or anybody else who voted for Trump, they put up a morally superior front which provides a double whammy in the fabricated media narrative (though not as much on public opinion as they would like to think). It goes something like this:

  • Look at Donald Trump! What a degenerate! What a wanton, incorrigible Hitlerian racist boob.
  • Look at Donald Trump’s supporters. What hypocrites! They hide behind their Bible. AG Jeff Sessions is a racist and has the audacity to quote Scripture!? He doesn’t even know what he is saying. But we, the atheists and agnostics of the radical left, we know what the Bible really says. Yeah! Because we asked our far-left PhD professors of religion at liberal universities.
  • And Donald Trump won because these unprincipled charlatans, who can’t even interpret their own Bible, much less know what is best for this country, voted for him.
  • Donald Trump only won because a bunch of bigots voted for him. And Trump is the biggest bigot of them all. No wonder they voted for him.Bigots trying to make America into Nazi Germany. .

And on and on it goes…

The bottom line is that far left radical, Socialists/Communists/Democrats want Donald Trump out of office. They slander him with all kinds of excessive and inappropriate names. But any name they attach to him will not drive his voters away. Over the top liberal vitriol has no power over Trump’s supporters. So the left hammers each day’s talking points concerning the crisis du jour with great wrath because they know their time is short. The elitists are, in a word, desperate.

Oh and btw, I haven’t even mentioned Trump’s support of Israel. Or his moving the American embassy to Jerusalem thereby supporting Jerusalem as the ancient and contemporary capital of Israel. That’s another article.

Israel and the United States are two great democracies. Lefties hate democracies. They prefer Communism. And this relates directly to the left‘s disgust for Jews and Christians. Jews and Christians depend on Someone much, much larger than any government official.

On the other hand, liberals depend on government. It is their religion. They want big government—socialized medicine was their first deadly step to fundamentally transform the U.S. They want everyone to depend on government. Look at inner city poverty, illegal immigrants, sanctuary cities—all areas of huge dependence on government while simultaneously draining the pockets of every day working Americans. It’s what socialists call a “win-win.”

The sermons from Nancy, Hillary, etc., are only one manifestation of how the left—mainstream media, Hollywood, politicians, coastal elites—have extended their attack of Donald Trump to his supporters. If they cannot separate them from the President, they will slander and degrade them too.

Or what person may be interested in Christianity but is fearful of what “others might say” because the left has so vilified Christianity?  This is the ultimate in separating children from their Father.

Cutting at the core, the Dems don’t think twice about toying with the souls of Christians, telling them they are reprobates and disobedient to Jesus. Who knows what person with a weak or immature faith may hear this bombast? Or what person may be interested in Christianity but is fearful of what “others might say” because the left has so vilified Christianity?  This is the ultimate in separating children from their Father.

As Tucker says,

“The rich and powerful are reminding you just how virtuous they are.

Do you think any of these people really care about family separation?

If they did they would be worried about the collapse of the American family which is measurable and real.

But they are not worried about that.

In fact they welcome that collapse because strong families are an impediment to their political power.

That’s why they are always lecturing you about the patriarchy and the evil of the nuclear family.”

Christian values—the left detests Christians and their values! Make no mistake.

Back To What Paul Said In Philippians 1:18

Leftists radicals are reading Romans 13 and discussing it everywhere!

Leftists are talking about Leviticus, for goodness sake (rarely do Christians do that!).

Leftists and some liberal Jews are talking about Jesus’ teaching in the Gospel of Matthew.

And their motivation is to denounce Donald Trump by means of invalidating his Christian supporters—another “win-win” in the socialist mind.. In exactly the same way that Paul speaks of enemies “preaching” to stir up trouble for him, so the far-left Democrats are doing this exact thing today—to incite others to join them in their hatred of Christians, to virtue signal and vilify Christians, to shame and insult, and ultimately discredit President Trump by proving that everyone who voted for him is a shameless, worthless miscreant who shouldn’t be allowed to breathe the air.

Out of jealousy, rivalry, impure and false motives, selfish ambition, insincerity, intending to stir up animosity toward Christians—but…

SO WHAT?

So What?

The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this [we can all] rejoice. Philippians 1:18

The Mysterious Ways That God Sends Forth His Word

Scripture is being sent forth. And with it, the Word’s inseparable partner—the Holy Spirit!

Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!  34 “For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?”  35 “Or who has given a gift to him that he might be repaid?”  36 For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen. Romans 11:33-36

Oh glory!  God does work in mysterious ways.

AG Sessions! Please preach Romans 3 in your next “sermon.” And John 3 after that…

America is in desperate need of the Word and the Spirit.

Many American souls stand on the border of heaven and hell. May they be reunified with their Father.

Father God! Revive us again!

We praise Thee, O God!
For the Son of Thy love,
For Jesus Who died,
And is now gone above.

Revive us again;
Fill each heart with Thy love;
May each soul be rekindled
With fire from above.

From the hymn “Revive Us Again” by William P. Mackay, 1863.
